Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Pharos Prep ("Service"), operated by Dustin Bryan ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Pharos Prep is a web-based exam preparation platform for the FINRA Series 66 securities licensing examination. The Service includes study materials, practice questions, progress tracking, and related features. The Service is currently provided free of charge during a public beta period.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share, reproduce, or distribute any exam content from the Service without permission
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform or its content
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent any limitations
- Upload or transmit malware or harmful code
5. Intellectual Property
All content on the Service — including question sets, passages, explanations, and software — is owned by or licensed to Pharos Prep. You may not reproduce or distribute it without explicit written permission. Your account data (progress, responses) belongs to you.
6. No Guarantees of Exam Passage
The Service is a study aid only. We make no guarantee that use of Pharos Prep will result in passing any examination. Exam content and requirements are controlled by FINRA and applicable state regulators, which may change without notice.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any content is accurate or complete. You use the Service at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pharos Prep and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE], without regard to conflict of law principles.
